Growkit B+ instructions
Step 1.
Wash your hands thoroughly and clean the outside of the grow kit with a dry cloth. Remove the lid and save it for Step 2.
Step 2.
Fill the Growkit with lukewarm water ( about 20 degrees Celsius). Place the plastic lid back on the Growkit and let it soak for 5 minutes
IMPORTANT: never leave the water in the Growkit for more than one hour
Step 3.
After this time, gently tilt the corner of the lid and carefully pour out all the water.
Step 4.
Place the open ( without the lid) plastic box in the provided plastic bag ( Growbag) and pour about 250 ml of tap water at a temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius into the bottom of the bag ( not into the plastic box with the inoculated mycelium). Stand the bag upright and close it by wrapping the top of the bag twice and secure it with office clips to prevent the bag from unrolling.
Step 5.
Place the Growkit in a place with access to light, but never place it where there is direct sunlight. Make sure the temperature is constantly between 2-26 degrees Celsius. Try to constantly maintain the ideal temperature which is 23 degrees Celsius.
NOTE: If you are in a country where microscopic examination of mycelium is allowed al. But it is forbidden to grow mushrooms containing psilocybin ( e.g. in Poland). Immediately stop the research and pour fungicidal liquid over the box and permanently destroy the substrate with mycelium. In case this is allowed in the country you are in, proceed to the next point
IMPORTANT: the bag must remain closed until you notice the first forming pins ( tiny mushrooms). At this stage, CO2 and humidity levels should be kept as high as possible and each time you open the bag, the amount of CO2 and humidity in the growbag ( Growbag) decreases
Step 6.
When the first forming pins ( tiny mushrooms) are visible, ventilate the Growbag daily for a few minutes by removing the clips and opening the growbag to provide oxygen by gently fanning. Then gently moisten the inside with tap water by spraying the walls of the growbag.
Step 7.
Once the mushrooms are developed you can harvest them by gently wringing the fruiting body of the mushroom out of the substrate it is growing in. Try to do this before the caps have fully developed and shed their black spores. The best time to do this is when the protective membrane peels away from the underside of the hat. Remember to do this with clean washed hands, preferably with latex gloves in as sterile an environment as possible. This will allow you to harvest better in subsequent casts.
Step 8.
Now you can go from step 1-7 to repeat the harvest. You can repeat the above steps many times.
Always work in as sterile an environment as possible. The minimum is to wash your hands thoroughly before working with Growkit. We recommend using latex gloves disinfected with spirit.
We wish you a good time !
